PORT HUENEME : Man, 32, Pleads Not Guilty in Stabbing
A 32-year-old Port Hueneme man pleaded not guilty Thursday to fatally stabbing an employee at a convenience market during a botched robbery.
A preliminary hearing was set for Oct. 14 for Adolfo Lopez Carrillo, who was arrested on suspicion of killing Mohinder Bassi at the B-Market on East Pleasant Valley Road.
Bassi, 42, of Canoga Park was stabbed several times in the chest and stomach about 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 19.
Carrillo is being held in the Ventura County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.
