A 2-year-old girl was injured when her family’s car crashed through the kitchen wall of the house, pinning the youngster between the vehicle and a couch.

The accident was reported shortly before 7 a.m. Friday at 12692 Willowood Avenue when Tuych Duc Lai was attempting to park the car in the driveway, police said. When Lai’s foot hit the accelerator, the car lurched forward at a high rate of speed and smashed through the wall.

The man’s daughter, Minh Lai, was struck inside the house and pinned by the 1989 Thunderbird. Police said she suffered a cut on her head and bruises on her face.

No criminal charges were filed in connection with the incident.
