Share

The top two teams and the leading four goal scorers in the American Professional Soccer League will be at Titan Field today when the Salsa takes on the Seattle Sounders at 6:05 p.m.

The Salsa’s Paulinho leads the league in scoring with 23 points (10 goals and three assists) with three weeks remaining in the regular season. His teammate, Paul Wright, and Sounder players Jason Dunn and Chance Fry also are contending for the scoring championship.

Paulinho won the scoring title and was the APSL most valuable player last season.

This will be the third meeting between the two teams this season. The Salsa won at home, 2-1, in July, but the Sounders won by the same score Aug. 27 in the Tacoma Dome. The Salsa is 9-7 for the season, and has won five of its last seven games. Seattle was 10-6 after a 3-2 loss in overtime Friday to Ft. Lauderdale.
