Free agent forward Wayman Tisdale of the Sacramento Kings, who was offered a multiyear contract worth $2.4 million per season by the Clippers, probably will sign a $1 million, one-year deal with the Phoenix Suns, a source close to Tisdale said.

Hockey

The Mighty Ducks sent goaltenders Allan Bester, Sandy Allan and Byron Penstock, defensemen Mark DeSantis, Mark Yannetti and Darren Van Impe and forwards Mike Maneluk, Jeremy Stevenson, Kevin Sawyer and David Matsos to the San Diego Gulls for the opening of minor league camp.

The late Lionel Conacher, who played in the NHL from 1925-37, and the late Harry Watson, who played on five Stanley Cup winners from 1941-57, were voted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
