PASADENA : Court Revokes Order Against Councilman
The state Court of Appeal has invalidated a restraining order that prevented Councilman Isaac Richard from approaching or telephoning fellow Councilman Chris Holden except on official business.
The three-judge panel found that a Superior Court judge erred last October in granting the injunction against Richard based on one incident; Richard yelled at and threatened Holden the month before during a UCLA football game at the Rose Bowl.
The Court of Appeal found last week that the one incident did not constitute a pattern of harassment that warranted a restraining order.
