BUENA PARK : Fund-Raiser to Aid Dance-Group Students
A Mexican folkloric dance group is sponsoring a fund-raising celebration Saturday at the United Food and Commercial Worker International Union Hall.
The group, Relampago del Cielo, offers free lessons to Santa Ana children interested in learning about Mexican culture.
The dance group, along with Mariachi Plata and Jay and the Latin Sounds bands, will perform at the event, which will raise money to buy costumes for students who cannot afford them and to rent a dance hall for rehearsals.
Relampago del Cielo now holds classes in the cafeteria at Rancho Santiago College.
The United Food and Commercial Worker International Union Hall is at 8530 Stanton Ave. in Buena Park.
Admission to the event, which runs from 7 p.m. to midnight, is $15 per person.
