Man Crossing Street Hit by Car, Killed
NEWPORT BEACH —
A Newport Beach man was struck and killed by a car while crossing a street Wednesday night, police said.
Ronald Brian Jones, 56, was crossing Placentia Avenue outside a crosswalk when he was struck by a car heading south near Production Place, Police Sgt. Andy Gonis said.
Jones was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not injured or cited, Gonis said.
