CERRITOS : Engineer Appointed to Planning Commission
Longtime resident Frank Chang has been appointed to the city Planning Commission.
Chang, 49, is a member of the ABC Unified School District Affirmative Action Committee, the president of Chinese Parents for Whitney High School Excellence and director of student activity at the Cerritos Chinese School. He has lived in Cerritos for 17 years.
He is a senior engineer with the Northrop Grumman Corp.’s aircraft division in Hawthorne.
After coming to the United States from Taiwan in 1970, Chang earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering in 1973 from Utah State University.
He was appointed by Mayor Pro Tem Grace Hu to complete the term of Titus Yen, who recently resigned because of work obligations. The term ends in 1996.
