Mission Viejo is Orange County’s fasting growing city, according to county statistics. Its population increased 11.8%, from 75,241 in 1992 to 84,087 in 1993.

Another fast-growing city is Laguna Niguel, where the population increased 5.2% (from 50,157 to 52,552), according to the Orange County Progress Report.

Anaheim lost the most residents. Its population dropped 7.4% during the same period, from 279,124 to 258,477.

But Mission Viejo may not hold that distinction for long. A state report projects that population growth in the city will slow considerably in 1994.

Today

Details of the proposed North Irvine High School will be unveiled at a community meeting from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Woodbridge Community Church, 5000 Barranca Parkway.

Architects from the Blurock Partnership will review the project along with school district facilities planner Corinne Loskot.

An opportunity for public comment will follow the presentation.

School officials want to build the campus in the Northwood area, one of the fastest growing villages in Irvine.
