VENTURA : Concert to Benefit Playground Project
Parents, teachers and other Ventura residents who are raising funds to build a community playground at Blanche Reynolds Elementary School in mid-town Ventura have scheduled a benefit children’s concert Sunday.
The concert will feature entertainer Lori Richards, who performs regularly at schools, community festivals and other Southern California events.
A trained music educator, Richards has released records with songs such as “Mean Mean Babysitter” and “Dinosaurus Chorus.” Her performances include sing-alongs with her young audiences.
The concert will cost $7 per person and all proceeds will go toward the playground. It will be held at 4 p.m. at the Ventura Theatre.
Tickets are available at Blanche Reynolds Elementary School, 450 Valmore Ave., and at the local YMCA. For other locations to buy tickets or for more information, call 641-5409.
