MALIBU : Teen-Ager Stabbed to Death by 6 Men at Topanga Beach
A 17-year-old boy was fatally stabbed by six men Tuesday morning while visiting Topanga State Beach with a friend, sheriff’s officials said.
The boy, whose name was not released, died at Santa Monica Hospital at 12:35 a.m., approximately half an hour after he was attacked, said sheriff’s spokesman Gabe Ramirez.
The victim, who apparently was visiting from abroad, and a female companion were approached by the men, who had driven into the parking lot in two cars near Coastline Drive.
An argument ensued, and the boy began to run down the beach. The suspects tackled him and stabbed him several times, Ramirez said. The boy’s friend was unharmed.
Investigators do not have a description of the vehicles or the killers. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at (213) 890-5500.
