WOODLAND HILLS : Worker Impaled on Fence in Fall From Scaffolding
A worker repairing a quake-damaged building in Woodland Hills on Monday fell from a second-floor scaffolding and was impaled on a wrought-iron fence.
With part of the fence still in his arm, the man was taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Center where he was listed in serious but stable condition after undergoing surgery to remove it, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The victim fell onto the fence in the 4600 block of Westchester Drive about 3 p.m., officials said.
