Two Lunker Catfish Attest to Irvine’s Stock
Two Long Beach anglers are not about to argue the theory that big fish hang out together.
Damian Schenewark pulled the biggest fish of the year from Irvine Lake, a 48-pound catfish. Moments later, Mark Lawler, fishing on the same boat, landed a 45-pounder.
Both fish were released after being weighed, and for that the anglers each received a $100 “conservation award.”
