Congressional Candidates Forum Planned at College

SANTA ANA — Rancho Santiago College will hold a candidates forum Oct. 29 for those running for the county’s six House of Representatives seats.
The free forum will be at the school’s campus at Bristol and 17th streets, in Phillips Hall, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., spokesman Dale Ruhe said.
Representatives of the organizations sponsoring the event--including the college’s political science department, Concord Coalition of Orange County and the local chapter of United We Stand--will question the candidates about the federal budget deficit and public debt and immigration.
Questions from the audience also will be taken, Ruhe said.
