Walking in Kyoto
In March we took a 12-day walking tour of Kyoto offered by Esprit Travel Corp. of Santa Monica that we read about in “Tours and Cruises” (Oct. 18, 1992). Guide Steve Beimel’s knowledge of Japanese history and his insights on the temples, Zen gardens, shrines and pathways greatly enhanced our appreciation of Kyoto. We were able to explore many places.
