Pedestrian, 22, Is Hit, Killed in Orange
ORANGE —
A 22-year-old pedestrian died Monday morning after being struck by a Ford pickup truck on Chapman Avenue, police said.
Police said witnesses reported seeing the man lying in the eastbound lane of Chapman near Newport Boulevard before the accident. Police said they do not know why he was lying on the street.
He died at the scene. The driver was not cited, and police are investigating.
