OXNARD : Pair Sought in Shooting of Youth
Oxnard police Friday were looking for two males suspected of shouting gang slogans at a teen-ager in south Oxnard and then shooting him in the foot as they drove by.
The shooting occurred about 1:45 p.m. Thursday as the victim, a 16-year-old youth whose name was not released, walked across Rose Avenue south of Pleasant Valley Road, police said.
Two occupants of a light blue pickup truck yelled at the juvenile and shot several rounds at him as he ran away, authorities said. The youth was treated at St. John’s Regional Medical Center and released, police said.
