Police Discover Body Shot in Santa Ana Carport
SANTA ANA —
Police said they discovered the body of a 25-year-old man in the carport of a Santa Ana apartment building just before 1 a.m. Friday morning.
Sgt. Dan Carr of the Santa Ana Police Department said the department’s gang detail was investigating the death of Hector Manuel Alvarez of Santa Ana, who was shot once in the torso with a small-caliber handgun. His body was discovered in the 400 block of South Susan Street.
No motive for the killing is known and no suspects have been arrested, police said.
