Cher Ranks Sonny ‘One Step Below . . . ‘

WASHINGTON —
Singer and actress Cher says her former husband, Sonny Bono, should be right at home in Congress since “politicians are one step below used-car salesmen.”
Cher told The Washington Post that she doesn’t have much respect for politicians.
“I have no belief in the system. So Sonny’s perfectly at home there,” she said of the former Palm Springs, Calif., mayor who was elected to the House of Representatives on Tuesday as part of the new Republican majority.
