An autopsy on the body of Michael Jackson’s former sister-in-law found patterns of injuries to “support a hypothesis of assisted drowning,” the coroner’s office reported Tuesday.

Delores Jackson, 39, died Aug. 27 after she was pulled from a swimming pool about 4 a.m. by her boyfriend, Donald Bohana, at his home in Ladera Heights.

She was married to Tito Jackson for 16 years until their divorce in 1988.

Coroner’s spokesman Scott Carrier said the cause of death was listed as “asphyxia, due to or as a consequence of drowning, alcohol intake and blunt force traumatic injuries.” Her blood-alcohol level was 0.22%, Carrier said.

Deputy Medical Examiner David Posey’s autopsy report, which he signed Nov. 7, indicated the “blunt force traumatic injuries” he found included cuts on her lip, tongue and ears, a bruise on her head and muscle hemorrhage in her neck that “appears fresh.”

The report was turned over to the Sheriff’s Department and the district attorney’s office, Carrier said.
