A 27-year-old man was found stabbed to death early Wednesday morning in a restaurant parking lot in Little Saigon, police said.

The Garden Grove resident was attacked in a strip mall lot in the 10500 block of Bolsa Avenue and suffered multiple stab wounds. The attack may have involved more than one assailant, police said.

Police declined to release the victim’s name Wednesday, saying they had not yet contacted his family.

A passerby called police sometime after 11 p.m. Tuesday night to report a wounded man in the parking lot. When police arrived, they found the dead man and blood on his car and nearby bushes.

Police said they do not know why officers didn’t arrive at the scene until after midnight.

Police do not believe the victim was robbed because his wallet was found in his pocket.

At the intersection of Bolsa and Ward, a generally peaceful corner where the strip mall is located, most business owners were unaware of the killing Wednesday.

“The worst violence I ever heard of was a car break-in and the stereo was stolen a few months back,” said a doctor’s assistant, whose office in the strip mall. “But this is frightening news. It makes me think about how we should schedule our work hours.”

Vincent Truong, manager of the Kim Su Restaurant, was alarmed by the killing but said he does not plan to increase security at his restaurant, located not far from where the body was found. Truong currently employs two security guards.

“Things like this usually don’t happen. This is probably an isolated incident,” Truong said.

Police have no suspects in the attack and are continuing their investigation.
