Johnson, a 5-9 guard, averaged 12.3 points last season and Ayres calls her “one of the quickest point guards in the country.” Hankee averaged 15.6 points and nine rebounds. Thieme averaged 20 points and McMahon 19 last season as high school juniors.

Fullerton also signed two softball players. Coach Judi Garman added Wendi Griffin of Garden Grove and Liza Brown of Rancho Cucamonga. Griffin holds her school’s career records for runs batted in and stolen bases. Brown, a pitcher, was chosen MVP in her league and had a 0.15 earned-run average.
