No Authentic Christian Worship at Planetary Mass

Share

In reference to “Multimedia Missionaries” (Nov. 5), Richard C. Paddock’s restrained review of the Planetary Mass at Grace Cathedral, Paddock notes that Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead attended the service. As one of the attendees, we were beamed back to the ‘60s via vintage Roberta Flack, psychedelic lights, the distribution of flowers, and we were urged to “break out through,” reminiscent of the Doors.

Jesus was seldom heard.

The Planetary Mass represents the demise of authentic Christian worship; a mix of Christian mysticism, Eastern spiritualism, Native American religions, feminism and environmentalism resulting in witchcraft, paganism and a trendy experience.

Rave Masses are already passe in England, where they originated. Laughing services are all the rage. What’s next?
