After 15 years, the local channel’s contract to air the classic Rod Serling series (which ran on CBS from 1959 to 1965) expires on Dec. 31. But it won’t go gently into that last night, when it will air a “New Year’s Eve Day ‘Twilight Zone’ Marathon” until the clock strikes the New Year. After that, the Sci-Fi Channel will be home to the “Zone.” In the meantime, KTLA on Thursday airs such classic episodes as the hourlong “The Miniature” starring Robert Duvall (1:30 p.m.); Burgess Meredith’s “Time Enough to Last” (9 a.m.), “Kick the Can” (10 a.m.) and the alien-highlighted “To Serve Man” (9:30 p.m.).
