Late Surge Takes Fresno State Past Pepperdine
Darnell McCulloch scored 23 points and Dominick Young made two baskets in the final minute to lead Fresno State to a 79-76 non-conference victory over Pepperdine on Monday night.
Young scored both of his baskets after making steals to spark an eight-point run for Fresno State (1-0). Young’s first basket tied the game at 72. After Anthony Pelle’s dunk, Young stole an inbounds pass and scored to give the Bulldogs a four-point lead over the Waves (1-1) with 25 seconds to play.
