New Paramount Network Adds Affiliates: Eleven primary affiliates and 11 secondary affiliates have been added to the new United Paramount Network, bringing to 94 the number of markets where the new network’s programs will air. United Paramount is a joint venture between Chris-Craft Industries and Viacom Inc.’s Paramount Television Group. In addition, Viacom announced it plans to buy Boston television station WSBK for about $100 million. The station would then become an affiliate of United Paramount.
