COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Jones’ 31 Points Pace Concordia’s Victory

Pharoah Jones led Concordia with 31 points in its 109-68 nonconference men’s basketball victory over Pacific Christian Wednesday.

Jones was 13 of 16 from the field. Teammate Jeff Putnam added 10 points and 13 rebounds and Danny Barajas had 10 assists. Charles Ross led Pacific Christian (6-3) with 25 points and Chuck Henderson added 22 and seven rebounds. Concordia is 3-3.

In another nonconference men’s basketball game:

Southern California College 78, Christian Heritage 66--Jon Naro scored 16 points and Chris Kostoff scored 15 to lead host Southern California College (2-2).

Redd Pepper led Christian Heritage (0-4) with 22 points.
