NO HANKS

It was a pleasure to see the article about Jim Hanks, “the other brother” (Film Clips, Nov. 27). I can imagine how tough it must be for an actor in this town to find a professional niche of his own. How much more so when you have a tendency to look and sound (and run) like a well-known big star.

However, I should like to note a minor error in the mention of his spouse, Karen. Though wife of Jim, she has retained her maiden name--Praxel--as her professional name and can be seen in Pragmatic Productions’ “Macbeth” through Dec. 17 at the Gascon Center Theatre in West Los Angeles.
