JC FOOTBALL : San Francisco Completes 11-0 Season

Jason Piccolotti completed 20 of 38 passes for 320 yards and four touchdowns as San Francisco defeated Oakland Laney, 28-23, to win the San Francisco Community College Bowl.

The game, played at San Francisco, featured the top two teams in the state. San Francisco finishes 11-0 for the first time in school history and has won 36 of its last 38 games. Laney finishes 10-1.

Piccolotti also rushed eight times for 28 yards and averaged more than 35 yards on seven punts.

Qadry Anderson completed 16 of 25 passes for 326 yards and one touchdown for Laney.

San Francisco scored three touchdowns in the second quarter to break open the game before a Laney field goal closed the gap to 21-16 in the third quarter.

With 10:57 to play, Piccolotti sealed the victory with a seven-yard touchdown pass to Damian Harrell, who had 11 receptions for 122 yards and one touchdown.

OTHER GAMES

Jim Arellanes threw five touchdown passes, including two to All-American wide receiver Brian Comer, to lead Valley to a 36-28 victory over Rancho Santiago in the Orange County Bowl at Orange Coast College. Arellanes, who completed 26 of 38 passes for 425 yards, threw scoring passes of 20 and 25 yards to Comer, who had 10 receptions for 205 yards. The Monarchs are 10-1, the Dons 9-2. . . . The Fullerton defense made a late stand and the Hornets (7-3-1) beat host Hancock (7-4), 38-33, in the K-Swiss Bowl at Santa Maria. . . . Gregg Wilbur completed 26 of 36 passes for 352 yards and four touchdowns to lead Palomar (8-3) to a 48-28 victory over Grossmont (8-3) in the San Diego Bowl at Patrick Henry High.
