Countywide : Restaurants Exchange Toys for Rebates
Bring in a toy and get a meal at a reduced price.
That’s what three El Torito Grills in Newport Beach, Costa Mesa and Irvine are offering for the holidays in conjunction with Share Our Selves, a nonprofit charitable organization.
Under the program, anyone who brings an unwrapped toy to any of the restaurants will receive a certificate for $10 off on any meal check that exceeds $25. The toys will then be given to SOS and distributed to underprivileged children.
“Share Our Selves does a tremendous job of helping brighten the holidays for many needy families in our own back yard,” said Jerry Frye, district manager for the restaurants.
“We thought assisting them in the toy department would be great, and we believe our guests will enjoy participating too. The certificates are our way of thanking them for their involvement.”
The toy drive, which started last week, will continue until Dec. 20. The certificates will be valid through Jan. 15.
