Stan Berman and Jeff Dann have been named top brokers of the year at Tolman & Wiker Insurance in Ventura. They received the firm’s Cary E. Tolman Award at a company dinner.
* Jo Ann Poole, an agent with Century 21 LaCarre in Simi Valley, has received Century 21’s Centurion award for top production. She reported taking part in sales of more than $1.2 million and listings of more than $1.3 million in the last eight weeks.
* A yacht design by Jeffrey Blume, a Ventura naval architect, is featured in the December issue of Yachting magazine. The magazine highlights only 11 new vessels each year. Blume has designed vessels that have been built on several continents.
* Tom Puentes, a vice president and assistant branch manager with Smith Barney in Oxnard, has been invited to be keynote speaker at several Whitehall Management investment seminars for health care professionals.
The seminars will be held Jan. 7 in Salt Lake City, Jan. 20 and 21 on Maui, and Feb. 4 in Dallas. Puentes is a broker in municipal bonds and other investments.
* Mary Ann Underwood, vice president of PAL Employer Services in Oxnard, has been reelected treasurer of the California Assn. of Professional Employer Organizations, a group representing employee leasing services.
* Tony Lyon has been named general manager of Jack Weber Infiniti in the Ventura Auto Center. He has held various positions at Weber dealerships in Oxnard and Ventura.
