ARCADIA: A 3-year-old boy who apparently ran into the street was hit by a car Saturday. Shawn Bui was in critical condition at Huntington Memorial Hospital, police said. The accident occurred at about noon at the intersection of South 10th Avenue and Camino Real. The driver of the car was not cited.

INDUSTRY: A 15-year-old Hacienda Heights boy was killed in what police say was a gang-related shooting Monday night. Michael Rivera was shot several times in the upper body and died in a 7-Eleven store in the 16100 block of Gale Avenue at about 6:40 p.m., sheriff’s deputies said. A cream-colored Buick containing two men and a woman pulled up to the store as Rivera was using the pay phone. One of the men began arguing with the victim about gang affiliation and turf, deputies said, and the other shot him.

SAN MARINO: Seven San Marino High School students--six juveniles and one adult--were arrested Friday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after a 14-year-old student was beaten at the school earlier in the week. The juveniles--16- and 17-year-old boys--were released to their parents. The adult, Terrance Tseng, 18, was booked into South Pasadena Jail but posted bail. The victim, who suffered a concussion, cuts and bruises, has been released from the hospital.
