Abortions Show Decline

Women are getting fewer abortions and mostly seeking them in the first trimester of their pregnancies, federal health officials said Friday.
The number of legal abortions reported by the 50 states and Washington D.C., was 1,359,145 in 1992, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.
