Wanted: Children caught “being good.”

That’s the idea behind a new program in San Juan Capistrano designed to reward good citizenship on the part of youngsters.

The city’s Police Services department plans to reward children who do such things as wear bicycle helmets and walk their bicycles in crosswalks.

The program aims to encourage children to obey the law.

Those who are noticed doing something good will be given commendation letters from the police officials.
