POMONA : Suspected Gang Member Held in Slaying of Girl, 17
A 15-year-old suspected gang member was arrested Tuesday in Pomona on suspicion of the Christmas Day shooting death of a teen-age girl, police said.
The boy was arrested in the afternoon and booked on suspicion of murder in the Sunday shooting death of Mary Price. The 17-year-old Pomona girl had been spending the night at a girlfriend’s house in the 800 block of Garfield Avenue, police said.
Price was shot in the face and died later at Pomona Valley Medical Center, said Sgt. Lisa Rogan of the Pomona Police Department.
The youth was apprehended as he roamed city streets, police said.
