Water and Golf Do Mix

Three jointly owned Southern California resorts are offering a seven-day Blue & Green package, which includes lodging, unlimited green fees at two of the properties with golf courses, and six breakfasts and six dinners with full choice of menu at any restaurant within the resorts. Participating resorts in the program are:

* Surf and Sand Hotel on the beachfront in Laguna Beach, where all guest rooms have ocean views and many have balconies. Restaurants include Splashes and the ninth-floor Towers restaurant.

* Rancho Bernardo Inn, San Diego, a Mobil four-star and AAA four-diamond resort with 45 holes of golf, two swimming pools and 12 tennis courts. Massage, sauna, and whirlpools are available.

* Temecula Creek Inn, 300 acres of valley surrounded by wineries plus a 27-hole golf course, tennis courts, pool, whirlpool and the Temet Grill overlooking the golf course and surrounding mountains.

The Jekyll Island Club Hotel, a Radisson Resort in Georgia, is 75 miles off the Atlantic Coast and has hundreds of acres of oak and pine forest and miles of beautiful beaches. The resort was founded in 1886 as an exclusive retreat.

There are 63 holes of championship golf nearby, deep sea fishing, horseback riding, a health club and a water park. Special packages are available for golfers and tennis players. Weekly rates are available, including full daily breakfast for two. Meal plans are also available.

The Cabrillo Inn in Santa Barbara is offering a $25 per day discount to seniors until May 15. The discount for guests over age 55 is for stays Sunday through Thursday ($15 per day discount on weekends or holidays). Rack rates Sunday through Thursday range from $75 to $85 for a partial ocean view and $100 to $125 for a full ocean view. An ocean-view suite is $135 on weekdays.
