Brazil Bans Ads Linking Smoking and Virility

RIO DE JANEIRO —
The government has barred cigarette ads from showing sex or suggesting sexual virility.
Health Minister Henrique Santillo also ordered advertisements to contain more explicit warnings about the dangers of smoking, and banned cigarette advertising on television before 11 p.m.
