Share

Major league owners have decided to give their customers second-class players and umpires. It shows what they think of baseball and fans. What goes around comes around.

Now that the baseball owners have made it official and implemented the salary cap and plan to start the 1995 season with replacement players, minor leaguers and possible strike-breakers, you can say they have finally shot themselves in the foot.

In keeping with their arrogant attitude, I suspect they will ask the average fan to pay full prices to see an inferior product.

If the grossly overpaid baseball players refuse to play, then give us eager, hustling replacements and I’ll attend many more game than in recent years. I’m fed up with strikes, negotiators and agents. I say “play ball” and let the strikers dig ditches.
