Los Angeles Police were searching Sunday for a a 29-year-old man and his girlfriend’s 2-year-old son, both of whom have not been seen since they left Friday on a daylong outing.

Mark Thomas Muse dropped off the boy’s mother, Mercedes Torres, at her job in Pasadena before taking Danny Moreno out for the day. He later called her to tell her that he and the boy were at a market and would be home soon, said Los Angeles Police Lt. Joe Hiltner.

That was the last anyone heard from them, he said.

“At this time what we have is a 29-year-old and a 2-year-old who are missing,” Hiltner said. “We don’t have any reason to believe there is foul play at this time.”
