How would you like to be able to pick up the phone and sample what’s new in CDs? To be able to register your opinion on the music--and then find out if others share it?

Beginning next week, Listen In, a new feature in OC High, will let you do just that.

Listen In will feature excerpts from four newly released CDs. Readers will be able to call TimesLink, the interactive phone system of The Times, and sample a song from each of the featured albums.

After listening, callers can vote on whether they liked the music or not. The following week, we’ll add up the votes and report back on what callers liked and didn’t like.

We’ll do the same thing every week. That way you can keep up on new releases and tell the world what you think of them.
