Teen Shot, Critically Hurt in Santa Ana
SANTA ANA —
A teen-ager was shot and critically wounded in a suspected drive-by attack Thursday, police said.
The boy, who was not identified, was hit at least once in the side while walking alone in the 2500 block of West Warner Avenue at 9:35 p.m., according to Santa Ana Police Sgt. Dick Faust. The Santa Ana teen-ager was taken to a nearby hospital where he was reported in extremely critical condition.
There were no witnesses to the shooting, but police believe the assailants fled the scene in their car.
