BUENA PARK : Robbers Take Money Bags From Guard Outside Bank
Two men wrestled a gun from a Brinks armored guard outside a bank Friday and escaped with two bags of money, police said.
Buena Park police Lt. Bob Chaney said no shots were fired, but the two suspects were able to disarm the guard outside the Bank of America branch at 8955 Valley View St.
The two ran to a maroon Chevrolet Monte Carlo that was driven by a woman and sped off. The car was found abandoned in a residential neighborhood, Chaney said. Witnesses said the three got into a parked black Izusu Trooper there and drove off.
