Nearly $11 billion in federal assistance has been allocated, including $5 billion in FEMA and SBA aid to individuals and business.

* Total FEMA loan applications: 667,801 Funded: 72.5% Pending/denied: 27.5%

* Disaster housing: 396,632 households, for $1.13 billion

* Individual and Family Grants: 196,399 households, for $188 million

* FEMA mortgage and rental assistance program: 1,000 applicants, for $3.9 million ($3,818 per applicant)

* FEMA minimal home repair assistance: 270,000 homeowners, for $745 million

* HUD Section 8 certificates for low-income households: $200 million available for 12,858 certificates (as of Nov. 3)

* Department of Labor Disaster Unemployment Assistance: 8,771 claims (as of Oct. 31), of which 4,548 received 81,159 weeks of benefits, for a total of $7.3 million

Housing Aid Program

Los Angeles Housing Department provides zero-interest loans for owners of quake-damaged housing units. Facts about the program, as of Jan. 5:
