6 L.A. City Council Candidates to Face Community Forum
Six candidates vying for the Los Angeles City Council seat vacated by Zev Yaroslavsky are scheduled to appear in a forum Thursday organized by the Westwood Village Assn.
The 8:30 a.m. forum, at the Westwood Marquis Hotel, 930 Hilgard Ave., will feature candidates Jeff Brain, Lea Purwin D’Agostino, Michael Feuer, Didacus Ramos, Roberta Weintraub and Barbara Yaroslavsky. Barbara Yaroslavsky is the wife of Zev Yaroslavsky, who left the City Council after winning a seat on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
The event is open to the public, but seating must be reserved in advance by calling (310) 475-5738. The program will include questions from a panel of community representatives and written questions from the audience.
