Splash Coach George Fernandez and former UCLA star Paul Caligiuri, both defenders, have been named to the U.S. National Indoor soccer team that will compete in the Joao Havelange Cup in Rio de Janeiro Feb. 1-5. The tournament is a tuneup for the 1996 FIFA World Indoor Championship qualifying rounds. Splash players Doug Neely and Raffaele Ruotolo are alternates to the 12-man team, which will play FIFA five-a-side rules with no dasher boards.
