A concussion that kept standout guard Arthur Lee from playing in North Hollywood High’s 75-48 loss to Monroe on Friday night should not cause him to miss any more action, his father said Saturday.

Lee, a senior All-Valley player who has signed a letter of intent to play at Stanford, was injured in a game against Grant on Wednesday. The concussion occurred when he and a Grant player collided while diving for a loose ball, but that was only one of several times Lee hit the floor.

“It was awful rough and he went down about five times,” said Art Lee, Arthur’s father. “But he’ll be back this week.”

Lee hit his backbone landing after being fouled on a layup and he also hurt his knee on another play.

“He could barely move at school,” his father said.

Lee averages 23.8 points, 5.9 assists and 4.6 steals, so it is not surprising North Hollywood (12-9, 5-3 in the East Valley League) did not fare well without him.
