NBA ROUNDUP : Perkins Bails Out SuperSonics
Sam Perkins sent the game into overtime with a three-point basket and scored eight points in the extra period as the Seattle SuperSonics beat the Chicago Bulls, 126-118, Thursday night to end a three-game home losing streak.
Shawn Kemp led Seattle wth 30 points. Ron Harper topped the Bulls with 26.

While admitting he was wrong to attack a fan, Houston guard Vernon Maxwell said he will appeal his 10-game suspension and $20,000 fine because the league did not fully investigate the incident. “Some reasonable guideline for appropriate fan conduct needs to be adopted,” said Maxwell of the Monday incident. “It shouldn’t be open season on the players.”. . . New York Knick forward Charles Oakley has been accused in a $2.5-million lawsuit of hitting security guard Chris Nunez, 23, during an event at a New York restaurant last June when asked to show a ticket. Nunez said in the suit that the blow left him “unable to remain gainfully employed.”
