COLLEGE BASKETBALL / WOMEN’S ROUNDUP : Lahanas Leads Titans Past San Jose State

Koko Lahanas had 39 points and 16 rebounds as Cal State Fullerton defeated San Jose State, 70-57, in a Big West Conference game Friday night.

Lahanas was 17 of 24 from the field. Shayla Bradshaw had 17 points for the Titans (9-10, 6-6), who outscored the Spartans, 44-31, in the second half.

Kari Steele had 17 points to lead San Jose State (4-17, 2-10), which shot only 36% from the field and 48% from the line.

In another Big West game:

Pacific 86, Long Beach State 71--Sue Will had 18 points and 11 rebounds and Missy Ross had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Pacific (13-9, 6-5), who outrebounded Long Beach State, 47-33. The Tigers also had 17 offensive rebounds to nine for the 49ers (11-9, 8-4). For Long Beach State, Melissa Gower led all scorers with 31 points and nine rebounds and Kim Barfield had 17 points and six rebounds. Akia Hardy also had 16 points for the 49ers.

In the Golden State Athletic Conference:

Azusa Pacific 56, Southern California College 46--Ahead by six points at the end of the first half, Southern California College got the cold hand and scored only 14 points in the second half. Heather Woodruff had 20 points. Christy Brock had 21 points to lead Azusa Pacific (10-14, 6-3), which has won its last six games. SCC drops to 15-10, 5-3.
