A single-family home in Simi Valley suffered moderate damage after electrical wires near the home’s water heater sparked an early-morning fire Sunday, investigators said.
Ventura County firefighters responded to the home in the 4600 block of Barnard Street about 2:30 a.m. Sunday after the tenant discovered the blaze, officials said.
Firefighters extinguished the fire, which caused about $5,000 in structural damage, officials said.
No one was injured.
