Free-agent acquisition Glenn Anderson scored his first goal for St. Louis with 2 minutes 12 seconds left Friday to give the Blues a 4-3 victory over the Jets at Winnipeg, Canada.

Darrin Shannon’s second goal of the game 21 seconds earlier had tied the score for Winnipeg. Ian Laperriere scored two goals for St. Louis, Brendan Shanahan had the other. Also scoring for Winnipeg was Darryl Shannon.

Detroit 4, Edmonton 2--Doug Brown scored two second-period goals as the Red Wings ended the Oilers’ six-game unbeaten streak, at Detroit.

Ottawa 2, Tampa Bay 1--Michel Picard had a goal and an assist at St. Petersburg, Fla., in the Senators’ first victory over the Lightning.

New York Islanders 2, New Jersey 2--Benoit Hogue put in a rebound with 1:50 remaining in regulation to give the Islanders a tie at East Rutherford, N.J.

Boston 5, Florida 4--Mariusz Czerkawski and Bryan Smolinski scored goals in the first two minutes of the second period to trigger the Bruins at Miami.

New Jersey Devil left wing Valeri Zelepukin, sidelined since being hit in the right eye by a stick Jan. 24 during practice, will undergo surgery today to stop the bleeding behind the eye, the team said.
